1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Advanced Safety & Energy, Inc., and its affiliate, Safety Academy (collectively, “ASE,” “we,” or “our”), are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our public websites and the Safety Academy™ training platform.

We believe in providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all users and are dedicated to making our digital properties, including asesafety.com and safetyacademyplus.com (collectively, the “Sites”), usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We are actively working to bring our Sites and services into substantial conformance with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.

While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the Sites. Our goal is to achieve full conformance, and we are engaged in an ongoing process of assessment and remediation.

ASE takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our Sites and the Safety Academy™ training platform:

• Include Accessibility in Our Policies: We integrate accessibility into our internal policies and procurement practices.

• Provide Continual Training: We provide accessibility training for our staff.

• Engage Third-Party Experts: We work with external accessibility experts to conduct audits and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Design with Accessibility in Mind: Our design and development processes are guided by accessibility best practices, including:Legibility: Utilizing clear fonts, maintaining high color contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for standard text and 3:1 for large text), and limiting the use of all-caps text.
  Structure: Employing a balanced and logical page structure to simplify content organization.
  Navigation: Implementing clear and consistent navigation systems to help users orient themselves and find content easily.
  

• Assign Clear Accessibility Targets: We set clear accessibility targets and responsibilities within our teams.

4. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of our Sites relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

• HTML

• WAI-ARIA

• CSS

• JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

5. Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. For example, content provided by third parties that is embedded on our Sites may not fully conform to accessibility standards. We are actively working with our partners to encourage and improve the accessibility of their content.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have difficulty accessing any material on our Sites, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information you need through an alternative communication method or to make the necessary accessibility improvements.
